Flow Music Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 13, 2026
Flow Music (flowmusic.space) provides ambient audio mixing with minimal data usage.
1. Data collection
Flow Music does not collect, sell, or share personal data such as:
- name, phone number, or address;
- precise location;
- browsing history;
- personal communications;
- health or financial information.
2. Data processing
Flow Music processes only the minimum technical data required for extension and website functionality (for example, selected sound layers and volume levels). If a user chooses to create an account, Flow Music also processes the account email returned by the selected sign-in provider through Supabase Auth. If a user adds a passkey, Supabase Auth stores the public credential required to verify sign-in. The private key and biometric data remain on the user's device or credential provider and are not received by Flow Music.
3. Local storage
Flow Music stores technical preferences in browser storage (for example, master volume and UI state) to preserve user settings. If a user signs in, Flow Music stores the authentication session needed to keep the user signed in on the website or in the Chrome extension. Flow Music does not create an application-specific profile beyond the email provided by the auth provider.
4. Analytics
Flow Music uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate product usage. On the website, Google Analytics collects standard web measurement such as page views, session starts, engagement, referrer, browser, and device metadata. Flow Music also sends non-identifying product usage events such as sound enable actions, playback session end and duration, onboarding progress, extension popup open, listening gate events, and auth flow outcomes through project infrastructure to Google Analytics. These events may include the sound identifier, sound name, product surface, onboarding step identifiers, provider name, page title, page location, and technical session identifiers used only for aggregate measurement. Flow Music does not send audio content, personal messages, precise location, or advertising profile data to analytics.
5. Background audio playback in the extension
The Chrome extension may continue audio playback after the popup is closed by using Chrome offscreen/background extension capabilities. This behavior is required to keep ambient audio running while the popup UI is not visible.
6. Remote requests and media delivery
Flow Music requests sound files and API data from project infrastructure needed for playback. Audio files may be cached locally in the browser (Cache Storage) to improve performance and reduce repeated downloads.
7. Third-party services
Flow Music uses Google Analytics for usage measurement. Flow Music also uses Supabase Auth together with supported third-party sign-in providers and for passkey sign-in. These services are used only for account sign-in and aggregate usage analytics, not for advertising, selling user data, or building personal listening profiles.
8. Children
Flow Music is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date will be updated and the revised policy will be published at this policy URL used in the Chrome Web Store listing.
